Bio
Lisa Adler is a Board Governance/Leadership Development Specialist. Lisa coordinates the Congregational Board Workshops and Board Membership Workshops for congregational boards as well as staffs the Shallat Rabbinic Transition Program and Retreat with Rabbi David Wolfman. Lisa works closely with congregational Presidents, Rabbis, Membership Chairs, Leadership Chairs, and board members as well as a cadre of Union-trained lay facilitators to customize the curriculum for each board or membership workshop to meet the unique needs of the congregational board. These workshops enable boards to review and clarify board roles and responsibilities; define the congregation's vision and mission; shape its goals and objectives; define membership and recruitment, integration and retention and board responsibility in each area; strengthen the relationship among the clergy, staff and board; enable board members to resolve conflict and develop more effective congregational leaders and visionaries.
