Bio
Mark Bloom graduated with a theater degree from the University of Minnesota, before getting what he calls his "real" experience. Since that time, he has become an accomplished pianist, bandleader, stage and musical director, producer, interpretational service leader, composer and performing artist.
Mark has produced hundreds of scores for stage and film. He frequently performs nightclub and session work, including over 50 dates annually, with his wedding/corporate event band, Marquis, and jazz ensemble Kavannah. He has composed, arranged, and accompanied for many performers including Rabbi Joe Black, Doug Colter, Ron Eliran, Danny Maseng, Peri Smilow and Bat-ella.
Arranging, composing and producing music has brought notoriety to Mark. He has been a musical coordinator and director for Joan Rivers, produced concerts featuring Noa and Gil Dor, Peter Himmelman and Second City, as well as composed and arranged for theaters including The Guthrie, The Illusion, The Great American History Theater and New Classic Theater.
Mark and his wife Wendy live just outside Minneapolis, MN. They have two grown daughters, Allison(24) and Jenna (20).
